the NEXT event! — something new is happening.

Big news. Big news. BIG NEWS. (Caps Lock is AWESOME!)

The next pointB event, the one you have all been waiting for is October 25th, 2009.

The venue is St. Philips Church, right in Moon, TWP… seriously 5 minutes from Robert Morris University.

We are starting at 7pm and hoping to finish at 9pm. We also have some big news, and yes… it does involve more pointB. Should be a lot of fun!

if you are wondering “i haven’t heard anything from the pointB crew in a while” you are right. we are undergoing some serious changes (all good of course) and thinking strategy like crazy people.

God has been taking us in a different direction that we are all pretty excited about. please don’t give up hope, we will be back soon… and better than ever.

This is our new promo video! Just some audio over the logo, but you can get an idea of the energy we try and bring to each of our events. This was recorded at the last event, so hopefully we can build from this!

This is an incredible point, unfortunately I don’t know who said it, but please hear it:

“There are so many stony ground hearers who receive the Word with joy that I have determined to suspend my judgement till I know the tree by its fruits… Do you think any farmer would have a crop of corn next year unless he plowed now? You may as well expect a crop of corn on unplowed ground as a crop of grace until the soul is convinced of its being undone without a Savior. The lack of updates are pathetic… this is something we are working to resolve, maybe even create a schedule!

The first post.

What is pointB?

pointB is a ministry designed and formed to help people get to their next level in Christ… their “Point B” so to speak. Each person is headed somewhere – getting to new levels and heights in God is not an easy task – we are here to help. To encourage. To guide. To inspire. To motivate. To push.

We all need something to move forward. In most cases it is the knowledge that there is another level – and a little insight on what to do always helps!

Why pointB?

Why not? Try to give us one good reason why people should not move forward.

Who is this for?

pointB is for you! It’s for me. We are getting general here – maybe redundant – but the fact is this: Whether you are a Spirit-Filled Christian that meets with God like Moses did or an individual who is not quite sure that God even exists – Fear Not! There is another step for you!

Like the example that we are each on an uphill journey. The end result is to become like Jesus Christ. Some have started their climb. Others are still at base camp. Some may have started and backslid or even fell. The fact remains though, none of us are like Jesus yet. God is still working. We can still get closer. Being a Christian is an exciting thing! If you’re not excited about it – It’s time to get fired up!

pointB is that next step. Maybe it is a breakthrough in prayer. Maybe to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Maybe it is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  As Paul states in Romans 1:17 “for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith…” It is a process!

What will it look like?

A myriad of things! Whatever might spark someone to get closer to God.

Currently, we are holding events each month, weekly Bible studies, and posting encouraging things on this blog! Events are a BLAST! The event concept is to create an environment where you can praise God and be excited/intense like you ain’t never been before. This is something you will need to experience… We have preaching, music, praise, worship, and fellowship. Stay posted for the next event!!

Whatever it is we hope it will push/pull/motivate/challenge/drag you to where you need to be!

So I just check in with pointB every now and again, and I’ll be alright!?

Not so fast! Growing in Christ is not easy. In fact it takes determination-perseverance-stamina-a will to fight. You have to want it!

Jesus said in Matthew 7:7-8: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

This means you will FIND when you SEEK, you will get an ANSWER when you KNOCK, you will RECEIVE when you ASK. Now don’t get me wrong, FAITH is weaved so deep in this thing- it’s unbelievable, but YOU have to WANT another level in God… or you just won’t get there.

Let’s wrap it up like this. pointB is for those who want something more from God. The people who are not satisfied with the regular. People who want to step out in faith and see what God has in store. It is a wild ride. It will be up and down. It will mess you up. But praise God — It’s the best thing you’ll ever experience.

Buckle down. Pray. Go!
